Dublin Comic Con Summer Edition Update
Hi Folks! This may not come as much of a surprise but after the recent Government announcements, our Summer Edition will not be able to go ahead in August. This is completely out of our control but with the reopening of the country going well so far, it means we can turn our attention to Spring Edition 2022.
We know there are many of you that will be upset to hear this news (and trust us, there is no one more upset than us) but alas, our hands are tied. We were one of, if not the first event to be hit by restrictions back in 2020 (postponed right on the cusp of what was to be one of our best shows to date) and due to the unique nature of our show, we have not only received minimal to no Govt support, but we will likely be the last of the live events to reopen.
But, one thing this pandemic has shown us is that we have some amazingly loyal fans who have shown us support since day one, and it means a lot to us.
We will keep everyone up to date on all the goings on in DCC HQ from our own social media pages and mailing list so unless news is coming from those pages, do not believe other people’s comments/suspicions about our shows. We liaise with our venue, event groups and make sure to stay up to date on all the restrictions, so only we can say what the status of our shows are.
So when can we expect to welcome you back to the wonderful world of Dublin Comic Con?
Well our dates for 2022 are March 12th & 13th for Spring Edition and August 6th & 7th for Summer Edition, and our Evening With Date is currently being rescheduled for the March or the August show (exact date TBC).

Q : What is this waitlist feature? Is the show sold out?
A : It is not sold out, we are operating a buy now, pay later system using the waitlist function
Q: What is the wait list function?
A: Our wait list allows you to pre purchase and guarantee your ticket by pre authorizing your credit card for payment when the ticket is released on our system. No money is taken from your account until closer to the show but your ticket is reserved so you do not miss out.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: We all know 2020 has been a tough year and as much as people want to get tickets to DCC for themselves, their friends and family, they are also worried about what 2021 has in store but are also worried about missing out on tickets if they sell out. So we have come up with a solution that allows the best of both worlds! A commitment to purchase your ticket and if for some reason 2021 decides it does not want DCC Summer Edition 2021 to go ahead then the money does not leave your account :)
Q : I purchased a ticket for one of the 2020 shows, is it still valid?
A : Yes, your ticket is valid for use at the 2022 shows.
Q : Are refunds available?
A : Refunds are not available at present. Tickets are automatically rolling over to the new dates. If for instance, you have purchased tickets to August 2021 and March 2021 please let us know and we will arrange a solution.
Q : I purchased a ticket for DCC : Spring Edition, is it still valid?
A : Yes, your ticket is valid for use at the 2022 shows.
Q : Do I have to do anything with my ticket?
A : No, you do not have to do anything. Closer to the show we will be re issuing new tickets to all ticket holders from previous events
Q : Do I have to transfer it to August 2022?
A : If when your tickets arrive for August 2022 you realise you cannot attend then simply email us and we will transfer your ticket to March 2022
Q : Are previous guests from the postponed shows going to be attending August?
A : Guests announced for March are currently checking their schedules for August and we will announce any updates as we get them. This includes our An Evening With Georges St Pierres
Q : Are you getting new guests to the show?
A : We will be announcing new guests for August and March 2022 during the year.
Q : Will autographs and photoshoots be available to pre-purchase?
A : Yes and keep an eye on our social media pages for when we announce they are on sale.
Q : I have tickets to the Robocop screening, is that still happening?
A : We are currently in talks with Peter Weller and his team but the screening will be going ahead in August and we will update our Robocop's status when we can.
