MARVEL, DC Comics and 2000AD artist, Gary Erskine hosts a Character Design workshop
Have you ever wanted to create your own comic book characters? Do you need help in adding something special to your existing designs? This self-contained one hour session will provide you with the basic creative building blocks to be able to design your own superhero [or villain] and update an already realised character. Using a six step process, Gary will reveal how MARVEL and DC character designs work and encourage you to create your own heroes or villains using familiar examples and demonstrations. You can also bring along your own character designs for review and comment on the day. Please sign up early as spaces are limited so please email comics@dublincomiccon.com to reserve a spot
This workshop is open to all artists aged 12 years and older. Materials will be supplied but you can also use your own pens and sketchbooks or digital drawing devices.
